How to know if fish is safe?

In my freezer I have some frozen salmon it is in a clear air tight casing is it safe for food there is no labeling.

Without any information about the fish it would be one of those "User Beware" things.
I wouldn't use it. Better safe then sorry about a sick or dead snake.
