Just cracks me up. One day they're fine, next day they're in full blue, next day they shed. It may take a few more days than that but my lil female anery red sided is SO fast!
I didn't even know she was in shed. I was holding her and showing her to a friend, we come home a few hours later and there's a shed lol
Previously she's done the whole almost overnight transition thing.
She's growing so fast! Male does the same thing to me, but of course he eats less, and is growing less...still a super fast metabolism though.
Just a funny difference. The ball pythons i have take weeks...first the pre-blue fussy stage, then a week or so in blue, then a week or more after, then a shed.
My hogneses take forEVER. And they are a really fast metabolism animal. They eat, next day, they're pooping. But shedding takes about a month off food, being fussy, then in blue for a week or more, then at least two weeks before the shed after they come out of blue.
Sand boas are inbetween the balls and the hognoses depending.
But man, I must be doing something right with these little garters because they're eating, pooping, peeing, drinking, and shedding and growing!
And ALWAYS the shed had that gaping mouth open...makes me laugh every time i see it because it's so cute and silly!
All the other snakes roll theirs up, but not these guys! Looks like they just go "AHHH" and then slide right out!
So cute!
I'll post a shed pic on here. Feel free to post yours, as well! I Love'em and they crack me up!
