Ten days ago I saw the first signs of the shedding process at my 6 year old female T. s. tetrataenia.
I made a picture of her head and planned to do so every day.
And I succeeded. :D

Very nice, Its interesting to see the day by day stages of ecdysis, especially the in the eyes. Also nice gif slideshow. Saves a lot of space :)

There's a really dramatic loss of colour isn't there. I don't see such a significant colour loss in any of my garters, they go dull but this tetra is almost completely white at the peak of the blue phase.
Thanks for posting this, it's a fantastic illustration of the lead up to a shed.

When my marcianus goes into shed he changes from lime green to almost black.

That is amazing to see. Mine has her eyes clouded over for the second day now.

Very cool slide show. My easterns get darker and very dull before a shed. My albino parietalis looks paler and his eyes look very pale before a shed. My albino checkered gets crackly looking...and my Iowa snow plains gets skin folds. I don't notice much in my radixes or in my concinnus.

Very cool. I can only tell my king is about to shed because her eyes go blue. The milk snakes go from bright red to like a dark maroon color but I can never see a difference in their beady black eyes.
