Hi guys. I can't remember if I've asked this already but I can't help thinking about it every time I see any pictures from the radix ranch.

I know the amelanistic gene has been proving, as albino checkereds are widely available in the UK but I haven't seen any anerythristic examples of checkereds.

Has anybody here come across anything other than normal or albino checkereds?

Jason Stoots and Jeff B. breed granite checkered and have posted pictures of them on this forum.

What are granites if you don't mind me asking?

They are a checkered morph. Here's a link of Jeff's granites, includes a pic of them. http://www.thamnophis.com/forum/sale-trade-adoption/10937-granite-checkereds-gorgeous-eating-great.html

Very pretty but I really like the checkered pattern. Would be awesome to see them in black and white

i really dont think a checkered garter can be anerythristic cuz theres no red pigment...plenty of yellow tho, an axanthic might be cool

Yeah that's what I was thinking but couldn't remember the right term for it. Would love to see one.

There are also pastel checkereds.

Cool stuff. So that's 3 proven genetic traits so far. Had heard of granites before but never seen them. Wasn't aware of pastels in garters though :)

I have what I believe is a pastel checkered. Sold an albino pastel out of the same litter. Not 100% sure if thats what they are though. Certainly not a normal example of the species.
