Im driving about a total of 30 hours soon with my new little friend and was wondering if you guys have any advice for me. Such as tricks to keeping the temp OK and stuff like that. All input is appreciated.

thank you.

Damp paper towel will keep them cooler and up the humidity.

Keep them out of the sun and heat. If its a really hot day, you can put him in a styrofoam cooler with a cool pack.

Yeah a styrofoam cooler is a great idea, add some substrate and hide and make it comfy. If you are traveling through areas with warm weather and you have a thermometer with a cord add that as well so you can watch the temp as needed without opening the cooler. Cool temps aren't a big problem, sudden heat spikes in an unattended vehicle can be fatal quick.

30 hours is a long time, there will be lunch breaks and rest stops and such with the vehicle turned off and no AC, take the worry out of it and monitor the temp at a glance. I assume this trip is mandatory for your snake right? Like you are moving or visiting somewhere else for an extended period?

Yes, I'm going on vacation for a month then back.

Okay. Watch the temps closely when traveling. If you can bring his regular enclosure along too (in the trunk?) with all those familiar smells and such that would be good too. Heck I would probably change his substrate a few days before the trip and save it for the cooler, just so everything smelled somewhat familiar, but I worry about this sort of thing.

If I had someone that could visit and take care of him (water/food) every few days I would leave him at home, but I realize that isn't always possible.
