Hey guys, I found a 90 gallon tank/aquarium for 50$. Would this possibly be to big for a snake?

No tank is too big for a garter snake, they love to explore!
But it might be too big for you if you are working with limited space in your home. Also keep in mind that you will have to be cleaning that tank on a regular basis.

Not as long as you're willing to work with it. Good price.

Of course, 90 gal would be difficult if you had just a couple of babies. You would spend all your time just finding them.:D

I wish I could find one that big for $50...
My personal feelings are that you cannot go too big with such an active species of snake.

Never too big. Always too small :p I don't think we will ever be able to truly provide enough space!

It also helps to have someone who can help you move it around. It takes myself and 2 13yo boys to move the empty 75 I have. On the stand, I can barely drag it around on my own!
