Hello,
I started with Thamophis radix in USSR. Since then Garters became my favorite snakes. I’m very thankful to Kevin Luzzi, who gave me a link to this wonderful site.

No, never. I used to search for it in San Mateo County a few times, but only aquatic Garters(T. coachi, - spelling?) were met; even in locality, where SF Garter's images and info are posted along all trails.

Welsh.
That Welsh would have confused me... there were vowels in the words, I thought you Welsh folk just stripped the vowels out of a sentence and threw in a load more consonants. ;)
