I'd like to find a home for my adult male Puget Sound garter, born April 2009. He's probably 24" long now and maybe 3/8" diameter at his thickest part, pretty close to full adult male size. Black body with bright light blue stripes and belly. I was as honest as I could with the color balance in the photos, I know you guys know how hard it is to accurately photograph snakes. He's black/blue only - no yellow, green, or red in his markings.
He eats great (pinkies, snails, fish), active and curious, never any health issues. Really not at all hand tame, but we haven't made a habit of handling him regularly. Never bred.
I got this guy free from a litter of babies that were slow eaters, and wasn't expecting him to survive - he sure showed me! I've had him as a pet/project this whole time and am not looking to make money from him. I might take a male corn snake in trade, though that's by no means a requirement. My priority is finding this guy a home where he gets a bit more attention and interaction from real garter snake people.
I'm in the SF Bay area in CA, and would prefer not to ship, though I will if there are no locals interested. You can PM me here with questions, etc. Thanks for reading!
