Found this charmed in macomb county MI, in the same area I usually fiñd Butlers.
We also have easterner arouñd here, but this fellow doesn't look like our local snakes.
What do you think it is?

Barest hint of a yellow stripe on his head, no black striping, lots of olive green and yellow with red brown spots. Skin between sçales is turquoise-green red and tan. Not really any true black on him- dàrk areas look faded out or bleached to brown.
Thanks for helping.

At first glance I see T.s.sirtalis and some T.s.parietalis. I don't think T.s.parietalis ranges in your area though.
Very interesting looking snake.

Looks like an eastern to me. A really uniquely patterned and coloured eastern! Im pretty sure I have seen a few similar easterns on here.

I really appreciated all of the French and Spanish accents by the way. I was sounding the words out in my head :)

He was an urban find, and I've seen no others like him soil can't say he wasn't brought in and dumped. He was badly constipated and dehydrated when found but his color has remained the same as his health has improved.
I'm tempted to bred him, or see him bred into someone eldest line but I have no idea what he would be compatible with.
Sorry about my unique typesetting- my Wrist smartphone often has a miñd of her own.

I'm sure you know this but just in case.. A good warm soaking will help with the constipation :)

I'll agree with breeding. A snake that nice deserves to have his genes passed on.

definitely eastern... only have easterns and butlers there :D also, from what I can see of the tail in the one pic it's a female. where in Macomb County are you?? I was stationed there at Selfridge Air National Guard Base from 85-87. Loved it out there!!!

Found on the railway that goes to S.A.N.G. between. Gratiot and I-94 between the park and the trailer park.
I thought female when I found it, but once the constipation passed I began to favor male.
it acts more like a male- jumpy and always on the move.

The pictures I found of her snakes were more golden less green and red looking on my monitor. I don't. Know if she has them anymore.

That is a very nice looking girl and a nice addition. I couldn't remember exactly what Shannon's looked like i just thought they looked similar.

I agree that I have never seen an eastern that looks like that...but it does sound like some descriptions of easterns in other areas...plus the markings seem to fit. A beautiful find! I do know that some of the easterns around here often look a greenish color...and I do know that easterns can have some red in between the scales.

Sweet!!! I used to get tons of butlers on base. just cuz its jumpy doesnt mean its male..from the view of the tail in the one pic I'd say female...

I do remember a very tan eastern found on base... an officers daughter found it... a cat got a hold of it, did some damage, I tried to save her, but was too late.....:( I actually have an x-ray of her

Ohhh, good to know. She is probably an Eastern then- I just haven't encountered this lighter shaded population before.
If you have a nostalgic longing for Butlers from this area let me know- I have at least one female I'm pretty sure is gravid, so I'll likely have half a dozen or more squiggles to find homes for or release in a local reserve.
