One of my three female Puget Sound garter snakes is the ideal snake.
You never have to feed her, because she is self supporting. She eats her own body...
I had all the time to take a few pictures; it took her a few minutes before she realized this was not going to work...

And some pics of a line I hope to start breeding in 2014. I have 1.2 of them and they get prettier and lighter colored as they grow. Next to that I love their eyes!
I am very curious how their kids will look...

nice snake i have just bourt a flame x melanistic is this a common garter , if so would you be able to look at my thread and let me no , its called new thamnophis , my heads been puzzled lol

It is an Eastern garter snake.
Looks a lot like those of mine. On the first picture it looks darker.
In my case the father was a flame bred by Alan Francis and the mother a melanistic bred by Steven Bol (originally from Pelee Island).

What a goofus Puget!:p She's beautiful btw!! And the eyes on that Eastern are ridiculous. I'd love to see if that gets past to her young.
