Just found this gorgeous stripeless green and red eastern, but I am concerned.
Her musket had bright red blood in it at the end.
She has a marble sized lump right in mid body. (Not tailward like id expect of an undelivered baby.
After she wąs done musking her vent looked completely normal no irritation.
how concerned should I. Be by the bit of blood?
Im keeping her comfortable for now.

I would get a fecal float done to rule out a parasite problem.

I plan on testing her if it looks like she will be sticking around- Abby would be happier wit a companion.
Chris has soąked well and is sunning on the warm side now. No poop or any signs of blood anywhere. No fear either which might be bad sign.

Good news. Chrristmas pooped out 3 hard black masses of feces and the bulge isgone. No blood things are looking good

Interesting...I wonder what made the feces hard like that. Glad she got it out. Keep us posted!

Glad to hear that! That's a great looking snake. I've never seen an eastern with both the green and the red like that.

I'm not 100% sure she is eastern. Our natives are eastern & butlers but she was an urban find so dumping is a possibility. I've never caught one like her before.
