Some new pictures...

[Thamnophis]

For the first time I "created" a male and female terrarium.

In the female terrarium (this is the big terrarium in our livingroom that used to be a fire place) I placed:

T. e. scotti
T. s. tetrataenia
T. s. sirtalis erythristic
T. a. atratus
When the "old" female of tetrataenia has given birth she also will be placed in this terrarium.

Since they all are very differently colored, it is a real painting!

These two ladies are of the same age. The first five minutes the erythristic was very afraid of the scotti, but later on they became friends.

Amazing looking nest you got there. I would love to see the entire set up since it was formerly a fire place. Who needs a fire for warmth when you have a crew like that!! ;):D

From what I understand, as long as they're all the same sex, it's ok(so there's no breeding)

I asked this same question before. I figured there are so many different beautiful garters, hybrids must be awesome! But, from what I've been told (by the experts here;)) that the hybrids end up looking less than either of the parents. And either way, whether the offspring would look nice or not, there are so many awesome garters, why jumble everything together. Why mess up a pure beautiful bloodline?
