do you guys keep wild caught snakes or are they captive bred?

Mine is WC, and from what I've seen/read alot of people have WCs.

I keep specifically captive bred only, alot of wildcaughts have parasites in them.

For many of us, it depends on the reason we're keeping snakes to begin with.

Some of us are specifically breeders. I think most of the breeders tend to favor captive bred heavily, for various reasons.

Some of us just love the snakes, and keep them so we can care for them, or just enjoy having them around. Some of us will keep wild-caught snakes, also for various reasons.

Mine are all wild caught. I live in a location where there appears to have been a boom in the garter snake population in recent years. I have kept a few of them, but almost all of them except Little Dude end up being released into the wild. The main reason I continue to keep Little Dude is because she has become so tame, I feel it would be unfair to put her back into the wild.
