I'm trying to get comfortable about shipping snakes since this seems to be my only method for getting a roomie for Zena. I've emailed a local guy several times but have not recv'd a response back so I'm looking else where. I've search this site looking for how this is done but have not found any info this topic.

Thanks Steve. I did see things like this on youtube, but thought if someone from here suggested this, then it must be the right way for doing it.:D

That's basically what I do except I don't ship if a cold or heat pack is required.
It limits my shipping but also increases the chances that my snakes will arrive without incident.

Good to know. I was wondering about the cold/heat packs coming in contact with the animal. I understand having the pack paper wrapped, but still, the animal really has no place to go to get away if temps are to cold/hot.

I have to agree, I have seen a lot of ways to have them shipped though it would be nice if you could check with the company you are going to ship them with and be familiar with the methods and steps that are need to be made sure of before sealing it intently.
It would be harder to deal with it if you have done everything only to realize that you are missing a few steps that they require of you.
