Another example where proper use of the scientific name would avoid confusion...

I emailed the guy and let him know about the error. We'll see if it changes or if I even get an email back.

In fairness I have heard of radix referred to as "Western Plains" garters, so it might just be a local common name wherever he's from.
Growing up the kids used to call the orange/red striped ordinoides "Red Racers" lol. Just food for thought & we all know how common names can vary so much.

Rofl!!! If you guys remember when we were discussing the whole "northern garter" thing...I said "What's next? Southern garters and western garters?" Ha ha ha! I hope Greg sees this....too funny. :D

I would say that I wouldn't buy from a store...period. I stick to breeders that I know and trust. Furthermore...if someone doesn't know the proper name for a garter, it really makes you wonder about the care that has been given to the snake.
