I thought that too at one point, but with the blueish/greenish tint and similarities to pickeringii I have to wonder, plus this animal was (supposedly) obtained in a natural intergrade zone, so I dunno.....

Have to agree with Don, looks like the last one is just a T.s.fitchi. The red on the "cheek" is a dead give away for this subspecies. You can have variable colours in them, just as much as any other T.sirtalis ssp. so it's not real surprising to have one with lot of blue in like yours. Very nice fitchi by the way though!:D

I thought you beleived it was a fitchi, it's a male and yes I shall part with him, I need the space, and I am unsure as to what it is so I dont want to breed it

from what i was told it was caught in oregon near the washington border, dont really have more info than that. it was sold to me as a red spot

ok, cool...not sure on the exact locales my red spots were caught...except for the big female valley garter from Idaho...coincidently, she was caught near my home town of Cascade, in Valley county..:rolleyes:
