In about a month I'm moving, and when I do I'm putting Harley into a 50 gallon long that I've got, since she's in a 10 gallon right now (and then the frog is going into her 10 gallon, and the millipede is going into his 5 gallon, and the fish is moving up too, so everyone is just going to play musical tanks for a day or so).

Their water dishes have always been small but deep enough for them to curl up in to maximize their floorspace... Now that Harley's going to have more than enough room, I was wondering, do your snakes seem to prefer larger, shallow water dishes, deeper ones, or do they seem to care at all? Thoughts?

I give my young snakes big shallow dishes.
The adults get big, deeper dishes.

Derpy likes deep dishes, but everyone else seems to enjoy more shallow dishes.

Give him a pond if you can! Garters love water. The more the better!

Now that I have the radixes...I am putting bigger deeper dishes in for them because they love to swim! My easterns don't seem to care either way as long as they have something to drink. For the young ones, I am always careful to make sure the dishes are shallow.
