Here is a new addition. We've had him for about a month. He is still a picky eater so he is a little on the thin side, but he is getting there. His name is Tim and he is a Northwestern (T.ordinoides).

Break through with Tim tonight. He took food from my hand while I was holding him. :) He can't resist fish!

What was this thread about, again?

Okay, people. In The Holy Grail, Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table encounter a powerful sorcerer named Tim. Tim warns Arthur and crew that they are about to encounter a "creature so foul, so cruel, that no knight has yet fought with it and lived! Bones of full fifty men lie strewn about its lair!" And the rabbit is that creature.

All I can say is, watch the movie. It'll all make sense.

That's odd, only about 1/4 of the posts here are about Tim (garter snake).

Anyway! Lol....Kat...Tim is a gorgeous snake. Glad you got him to eat...and out of your hand...that's awesome!

The only problem I would have with feeding Tim fish from my hand is that any snake I've ever had usually doesnt stop at the fish. If my hand, or anything else smells like fish, they try to eat it!

My snakies must be really well behaved. Even snakes like Snap stopped at the fish and not my fingers. She missed a few times.. And she would bite me randomly without food being around but... That was Snappy for ya..

I didn't name him after Tool Time or Monty Python. Bill's middle son named him cuz he likes the name.

Cee Cee would eat my fingers and my hand too...and she wouldn't be gentle about it! I would probably feed Possum by hand...and the babies of course. Hermes and Seeley would be too shy. I actually got Seeley to eat a worm from the hemostats the other day...that is only the second time he has done that for me. Steve is sending me a radix this week though, who he says loves to be fed by hand...I am looking forward to that!

She is a sweet girl and should grow large. The male is typical, feed me and leave me alone and the albino T.s.p should color up nicely.
Looking forward to having a few more Ranch snakes on the east coast.
