Need a little more info. It depends on the size of the snake and the size of the worms.
Worms as a rule travel fast through the digestive system.

Take a picture with a pencil, it can give a relative size.

I'm posting this photo for the member(greene)

Looks like a Storeia dekayi-Brown snake. Not a garter but welcome and loved here on the forum.
Member "infernalis" is our resident dekayi expert. I'll give him a call and see if he'll take a look at the thread and give some advice about feeding.

That does look very much like a Dekayi..

Any chance of getting a cleaner picture, I would like to make sure it's not a pregnant female.

Since this is the peak of breeding season, chances are if it's female she could very well be gravid. (pregnant)

Yeah sorry about it being blurry I took it with my phone. So how can I tell if its a female?

Looks like you've got a number of Thamnophis (Garter Snake) species in Wisconsin.

Thamnophis sirtalis (Eastern Garter)
Thamnophis radix (Plains Garter)
Thamnophis sauritus (Eastern Ribbon)
Thamnophis proximus (Western ribbon)
Thamnophis butleri (Butler's Garter) limited to a couple of counties in the southeast part of the State.
I'm going to link to the Wisconsin DNR page at the end of this post. I noticed they are using some different names for a couple of snake. They call T.radix, Eastern Plains Garter and they call the Eastern Ribbon snake, Northern Ribbon Snake.:D

Baby snakes are pretty much independent from the time they're born. Since you caught the mother from the wild, if she was gravid when you caught her, there shouldn't be any harm in releasing the babies to that same area.
You'll probably want to help them through their first shed before you let them go though.

How long after they are born is the first shed?

Almost immediately after birth with 99% of all the babies born on the Ranch.

Yes it does with very tiny babies.

Hope you don't mind Wayne I found this one. Not the one I wanted but it will do for now.;)

Good so when it gives birth I could just let them go. Right?

In the same area the mother came from.
