Awesome! I just joined the forum this year and would also like to look into getting Puget, California red sided, Oregon red spotted. Can't have the San Fran, bummer:(. Did you go to an expo, or buy with a breeder? Are they all pretty young or do some of them have some age to them? Would love for you to keep us updated with how they do, eating, temperament, and PICS. Nice snakes Scott.

They are mostly 2011's and they were all imported from a breeder in the Netherlands, not too many san frans up here in canada so they are pretty special. Gonna let them settle for a while before i offer any food but im deff going to try and get better pictures, the female oregon is just smokin.
Edit its late and i got the name wrong, red-spotted oregon, not sided.

Scott, 19 in one shot is a pretty big bite all at once. Do you have 20 some enclosures ready to go or are you going to house some together? What is your mix male/female, or are they all same sex? Are you new to the forum but not the hobby, or did you just jump in with both feet? I started a thread tonight (Wish list help) asking forum members with their experience with garters I'd like to get. You have most of what is tops on my list so I'll for sure keep an eye on your progress and adventure with your new family members.

LOL yea im new to the forum but have 14+ years experience keeping reptiles, they will be housed together, tho not 19 snakes in 1 enclosure. Males /females separated and by size, built myself some new enclosures. I bought mostly trio's 1.2

EDMONTON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!
You are SOOO Close to me! When you have Babies I want some!!! I gotta see them! How hard was it to get them from the Netherlands? Are the San Frans unrelated? I'm so Green with envy right now....
On a side note.. Close to you in Sherpark there is a pet store closing (owner are retiring) And they have Everything on 25% off or 50% I just got a whole bunch of stuff, Including an awesome King Snake(see my post in other pets).. They have big used tanks for 35bucks. Check them out soon though they shut doors on sunday. Family Pet Center on baseline rd. Behind the Canadian Brew House and lubeX. It is not far from the Hendy.

Wow, that pet store closing sounds great as far as deals go. That kind of thing always seems to happen when and where I have no way of taking advantage of it.

Nice additions! You got these from Steven?
Wondering how the import went (If you have/find the time, via PM is very welcome), as we would be interested in sending overseas as well :)
