The snakies went for a little swim this evening. Most of them enjoyed it. Blade was not liking too much, so she sat on the pool float most of the time. Maybe she didn't want to get her hair wet.. :D Here is a video and a few pictures.

Looks like the one snake, not sure which one it was, was trying to figure out how to get out of the overflow hole for the tub...we have the exact same kind of tub...if you didn't know, the place she was sticking her head is a hole that actually is an overflow drain. (You might want to stuff a little piece of something up in there so they can't get in...and if I'm telling you something you already know...sorry!). Looks like a really fun party! It actually looked like a little pool party with Blade floating around...so cute! Thanks for sharing the video.

We turned the overflow hole upside down years ago. Bill likes to fill the tub as much as he can. The overflow is on the top now. We always keep an eye on them while they swim too, never leave them alone. They all had a lot of fun. They are sleeping in their favorite hides now. :D

Some of ours will be swimming today. Eskerina is putting on a bit of weight so some exercise is on the cards.
Nice to see a group swimming, we tend to keep ours to two at a time, so they don't get to party like this. :)

Do you use spring water for this, or treat the tap water. I'm still snake-less but I just love this idea for exercise.

Good deal...great idea turning the overflow hole upside down. I'm glad I saw your video because I never would have thought of the overflow drain in my tub. Of course, all of my snakes are stubborn and flip out when I try to get them to swim! That was just an awesome video...watching them all together like that. Of course...when I first saw the title of your thread I thought, "Pool party at Kat's? Why is she inviting everyone to a pool party when so many of us live so far away? And isn't it kind of cold for a pool party?"...:D

I don't worry about treating water when my snakes are swimming or in a shed box. I only use spring water or treat the water if it is water that they will be drinking.

I'm so glad you all enjoyed the video. I don't treat the water, I just use plain old tap water. They aren't in the tub for very long so there really is no need. I use luke warm water, and a plastic lid. You can see on the video I've put a steel ball in the drain opening too so there are no accidents. I never ever leave them alone. They really do enjoy their swims and we enjoy watching them.
