Looks T.s.concinnus male to me.
That area snakes are not my cup of tea.

Just got done with our hike. We found 5 snakes and a little green tree frog. Of the 5 we found 2 were NW and 2 were Pugets. One I'm not sure if it is a concinnus or what. It looks like one, but it was found were the pugets are.

I'm not 100% sure on the first one being concinnus... pugets are known to have red spots too... the stripe is too well defined on the side. where were they found?

Mason county washington. He is pretty skinny too.

You are so lucky to find beautiful snakies like that out there! I love my easterns but it sure would be nice to have a bigger selection of garters around here.

We are very lucky! I took some pics of the other snakes we found too. I'm going to try and get them posted.

Ah ha! I got one right! Finally Joe...I thought it was a pickeringii...but I didn't want to say anything in case I was wrong. I'm getting better at this. :)

We did decide to bring the red one home. So far not adjusting as well as the other male, but it's only been a day. We'll see how he does and if he eats for us. He will make pretty babies if he settles in.
