Let's make general comments about this month's competition entries here, to keep the competition thread clear of general talk.:D

Man! Now I gotta decorate my enclosure (guess the newspapers are out). At least that should be easier than finding a baby snake!! :D

My overly large enclosure will surely have a chance in this contest. I wish you all luck in competing against the giant that I have ;*)

Just remember that then it might be hard to make the snake the center of attention in the picture, not a big stick or something.

I will add an arrow cut out of cardboard and colored red inserted into the cage pointing at the snake. You will automatically look at him making him the center of attention. ;*)

It's a really slow response to this month's photo contest. I'm going to try and get a decent picture this weekend, and enter the competition for the first time.

I'm going to enter, I just need to make the changes I've been planning to make for the last few months and should have made while I was still building the terrarium.

Let's just say it involves using almost all of my fake plants. ;)

So, you're planning a well thought out and carefully pre-arranged shot, Stefan? Maybe I'll just give up now!

Will try to enter before the month, but the theme is not that easy...

In a word: No. :)

I'm trying to get everything except the hides and the water bowl off the substrate to make cleaning easier, and more climbing opportunities with vines along the walls. And the lighting is going to change to 2x18W. I don't plan on arranging any part of the actual shot, but I know it'll look better afterwards, which is why I prefer to wait. :D

Besides, my garters can't be arranged.

this thread is kind of amusing
I too have pretty basic set-ups
no plants
and I've been hunting desperately
yesterday I walked up this 10 block strip of 6th Ave that used to be the florist supply district still five years ago
now it's all wigs and purses
damn!
