I don't get it... Lol
How long should I leave him alone for? He's eaten a few worms already!

What do you mean by leave him alone? You don't want to handle him right after he has eaten. If you mean handling him in general, it depends on the snake...if he is really skiddish...you may want to try putting your hands in the enclosure and letting him get used to your hands being near him a bit without touching him...see if he comes to you to check you out. Let him crawl across your hands and so forth. See if he will let you pet him without picking him up. If he will let you pick him up, go ahead and try to handle him a little bit each day, as long as he doesn't seem too upset by it. But if he has just eaten, wait until the next day before trying to handle him.

Congratulations!
Its a good idea to give them a day or so to digest their food before handling them- they may throw up their last meal if they get too excited.
I've found that handling them for a little while, nearly every day is a good way to get them accustomed to handling. Mine now want to be fed every time they are handled!

I wont be handling for a while but i covered his tank with a blaket so hed have some privacy. How long should it be like that for?

I take it your covering with a towel so that he can eat comfortably? Yes, then...like Mike said...once he is finished eating, take the towel off. Not all snakes need to have the tank covered like that to eat mind you. Most of my snakes eat fine without covering the tank...I only have one shy eater that needs the tank covered to eat.

Looks like an eastern to me...T.s.sirtalis. Looks just like my Seeley. Do they have easterns in Oklahoma? Anyway...make sure they are a safe type of silverside. I'm not sure which are the safe ones...other members can advise you on that. What is he eating now? If he is eating worms and fish and you want him to eat pinkies...take a frozen pinky and cut it into pieces and mix with worms or fish and thaw...or cut in half or quarters (depending on the size of your snake) and then let the pinky thaw and then rub a worm or fish on the pinky to scent the pinky.

Eastern(Thamnophis sirtalis sirtalis) and Plains (Thamnophis radix) are common to Oklahoma.
Without a better photo I can't say for sure but I'm leaning toward T.radix (Plains Garter Snake)

I always think that radixes and easterns look a lot alike too! He looks a lot like my Seeley, my male eastern...same coloring. My female eastern, Cee Cee, is a lighter color.
