So my last problem is gone ( the roaches ) I have not seen any in the apartment for about 3 weeks now so I think its safe to say the exterminator did good. Now i'n not entirely sure if this is a problem but this small spider about the size of a pink nail maybe a bit smaller climbs on the side of the tank and the wall next to it. Now there is a gap between the wall and the tank but the light still hits it. I have been trying to kill it for 2 days now because i want to be on the safe side with Jade. It is not like I see thousands of spider its just the one and I am positive it is attracted to the lamp. Im thinking of putting the Vaseline on the side of the tank but just wanted to make sure I should just kill it completely and not just temporarily stop it.
Bugs and jade must be friends since I have never seen any like this until after I setup the tank !!

As the parent you must help them understand how important choosing the right friends is. :D

She learned about the roaches hopefully this will just go away. Even so she knows that worms are friend even though all she does is hunt them !! Best feeding time ever just now but that's on a different note. This spider , any suggestions ?

ID the spider. Most US spiders can't harm a snake but there's a few that can, as long it doesn't get in the cage you shouldn't worry too much. Why can't u kill it?

I'm pretty sure I have ID it now , Its nick name is Jumping spider. I say this because its the same colors as the one here and every time I get slightly close to it , it doesn't run it jumps !

I think Jade is the bug whisperer. ;)

Jumping spiders are harmless. They are the only spider that is allowed to live in our house. They're cool little spiders IMO, and for me to say that... You know.. Cause I'm deathly afraid of spiders and most are KOS... ;) Our jumpers like to sit on the heat lamps of our tanks, they don't bother the snakes... I doubt that the spider even care about your snake, as long as he gets a bit of warmth from the lamp.

jumpers are harmless.... they are good to have in the house.... when mosquitos get inside, they hang out high up on the walls and wait for evenings to prey upon us.... these little spider pick them off and eat them. they are also good at getting flies in the windows.
