a small snake might look bigger in small hands
and perspective is sometimes a matter of fooling our eyes about size!

Used to have a 1:72 Leopard 2A4 tank somewhere. I think all I have now is a 6" Hulk Hogan and an Isildur bookend. Oh and a souvenir of the amphitheater in Taormina, Sicily.

Hmmm...now this has become interesting. I wasn't even thinking of it that way. I was just thinking find a pic where one of my snakes looks particularly big. This will be fun. I'm a mom so I have all kinds of toys at my disposal....got an idea brewing already!

won't be using this, because the boxes make the car look small, rather then the snake look big, but I thought it was hilarious
I could edit out the background but y'all are against photoshop xD

LOL, you should use that one! Just crop out the boxes!

Or use a gaussian blur on the background.

Simple: print out a background of land and clouds on a piece of paper, and use it as a backdrop. OR, better yet, put up a pic on your TV or computer monitor.

I asked if I could photoshop!!
Didymus20X6
03-07-2012, 10:19 PM
I'm not talking about photoshop. I'm talking about creating a physical background - through use of paper and/or display monitor - to put the car in front of when you take the picture.
Back in the olden days, before they created all this new-fangled digital image manipulating software, that's how people created false perspective. But then again, back then, people also had to walk to school 8 miles through the snow uphill both ways in 105 degree weather with no shoes on. And they liked it!
RedSidedSPR
03-08-2012, 12:07 AM
I do that. And like it.
But damnit I already entered the other one so whatever.
And I can't do that stuff. I don't have the software.

Unless some other moderator feels like doing it, I'll throw up the month's contest threads in the morning, or whenever I remember to do it.

My niece absolutely loves the snake in the car. Every time I bring up this page, she immediately says (and you have to imagine a five-year-old girl saying this), "Hey Baby! Check out the fly wheels! Get out of my dreams and get into my car!"
