Redsided garter snake, T. s. parietalis, looks right. "Eastern garter snake" would be T. s. sirtalis. ;)

Nice snake, looks just like my Flash. Always been a bit confused as to what species she is, but this pic is a big help.

It is a she,her tail does not lie :p , shes just a small snake I think. The shop I got her from didn't exactly take pride in their snakes.

Her tail narrows off quite sharply after anus or however you would prefer to say it.
