I ordered this book in the other day.
What a nice book. The illustrations are beautiful and the info. is spot on except for one reference to the snake eating insects.

I found it by doing a search on ebay "garter snake". It was refreshing to find a book with good information about garter snakes.
In the narration they only have one reference to garter snakes eating insects.
After the story is over they give information about garter snakes and don't make the same mistake.
