I have three Thamnophis radix sharring a 4ftx2ftx2ft.
They are

Stig (the big presumed male)
female 1. (Slightly smaller)
female 2. (Slightly smaller than female 1.)

They were all good feeders but female 2 was definetly shyer than the other two. Over winter they all went off their food, and all three escaped but all found quickly. Unfortunetly female 2. the cat got to before me, so she had one scale raised where the cat had got a single claw in and pulled. After some treatment of antibiotics she is now the first out at the sight of the feeding tweezers and is now the boldest and quite agresive feeder.

I feel like I've already posted a reply to this... ;)

Great to hear about the feeding turnaround.

Good to hear...have you perhaps done something different with the enclosure to ensure they cannot escape again?

if you can post pictures that would be awesome, we would love to see your Radixs'. The big of the sexes is the females... Are you sure your biggest is a male? or might you have 1 big female n 2 males? or are the smaller ones just younger?

Well measured stig last night and "he" came in at 3ft (just over)

I'd say the females are younger, but can't be sure, they are abit shorter than stig, and about half the girth, maybe half is a bit of an over estimate.

For a radix male he's probably pretty much full grown. Steve's the best man to confirm that, but I think over 3ft for a male radix is nearing their maximum.

I would say that 3ft for a male is exception. Can't say I've ever seen one that long.
Are you it's a male?
